In order to complement the industrial and slightly rugged construction of the case, I chose to use aluminum diamond plate metal to add needed parts to the case. I used these metal plates to make the window panels for the case as well as frame the main monitor and to also contain the UPS into its own section of the case.

Cutting the window panels was pretty straightforward. I cut a square picture frames, cleaned up all the cuts and gave it a bit of roughing up on the surface with fine grit sandpaper and a run thought the dishwasher.

To make the cut edges look cleaner, I used window edge molding.

The Plexiglas was then glued onto the back of these panels to sit flush with the body of the case. This process was used on the two side window panels as well as the front window panel.

Now came the question of mobility. How was I planning on getting this thing from place to place? Wheels, not little wimpy wheels either, big beefy industrial type wheels.

The newspaper box has a detachable bottom section which housed the concrete block I mentioned earlier. This section would make a great place to attach those big wheels to, however the way I planned on installing them would only allow me to have 2 bolts holding the wheels instead of 4 like they were designed for. To solve this dilemma, I used 1 inch square aluminum tubing to span between the wheels for added support and make the whole base much stronger.
